Meet Marlene

Hello, firstly I'd like to CONGRATULATE you on your pregnancy!

My name is Marlene. I am a Certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator through the HypnoBirthing® Institute. I am married to my wonderful and supportive husband and a mother of two lovely free spirits. I am a HypnoBirthing mother myself!

Nine years ago, before discovering hypnobirthing, I gave birth to my son. Unfortunately, his birth went down a road of unnecessary interventions and I felt like I had let him down by not taking control of my choices as a birthing mother. Today, I am forever grateful to my son for our birthing experience, he empowered me to find a voice for my future pregnancy and seek a natural approach to birthing.

Five years later, when I became pregnant with my daughter, I discovered hypnobirthing. It completely changed my fears surrounding my son’s birth. What I found to be so wonderful about it was that it empowered me to feel confident, relaxed, and better prepared to meet my sweet baby girl. When the time came, because I was deeply relaxed, I was able to birth my daughter in a short time and with ease in a calm and relaxing environment.

Having gone through both experiences I’ve become deeply passionate and compelled to help empower others to gain confidence, trust their instinct, take control of their birth, know what their body and mind is capable of, and to have the most inspirational birthing experience! In wanting to share my passion for pregnancy, birthing, and motherhood I realized that my affinity for education could reach much further into the birthing world as a Certified Hypnobirthing Educator, and that is how Birthing by Nature was born.

It gives me great joy to partner with mothers across all cultures and backgrounds and embark in a gentle approach to birthing.
